Home automation has come a long way in the past decade. Earlier simple switches were used to control the working of appliances. Then came programming and the appliances became more efficient and easier to use. And in the past few years, home automation systems came into the limelight. Now almost every appliance in a house would be connected together and the residents would be able to control them centrally from a touch screen panel or a remote control. In fact if the system is connected to the internet then the residents would be able to control the appliance from their smart phones.
Digital temperature controller:
This system would enable the residents to control the temperature inside the house. In short, the system is connected to all the air conditioners and heaters in the house and when you set the temperature, the controlling system would in turn decide which appliances should work and which ones should be switched off. Also the residents can make the changes in the temperature when they are out. This can be done via smart phones, thanks to technology called internet of things. If there are other home automations systems in the house, then the digital temperature controller would be incorporated with them and hence the central touchscreen or universal remote can be used to control the temperature.
Other roles of a digital controller:
a temperature controller would also be tethered to different things like window covers, blinds, fans etc. This makes sure that no energy is wasted and natural methods as used to control the temperature as much as possible. This would result in saving of electricity and thereby saving of money. Other options like sleep will also be present in the system.
